Yumi Kajita
Fashion Designer / Personal Stylist / Creator
Yumi Kajita began making clothes at the age of 14 and taught herself every aspect of the process, from design and pattern making to sewing.
Today, her work is centered around her own fashion label, FREijA, alongside clothing design and production, personal styling, and other fashion-related projects.
Her interests, however, extend far beyond clothing.
Culture, film, music, travel, craftsmanship, and the thoughts and ideas that emerge from everyday life all feed into her creative practice.
She sees observing these different elements and interpreting them through her own perspective as an important part of her creative process.
Through Podcast and YouTube, she explores ideas through conversation and visual storytelling, while on note, she shares her thoughts and interests through writing.
In 2024, she participated in a fashion week in Vancouver, Canada. Now based in Japan, she continues to gradually expand the scope of her creative work.
As a personal stylist, she also continues to explore the relationship between clothing, creativity, and conversation.

現在は自身のブランド「FREijA」を中心に、衣服のデザイン・制作、パーソナルスタイリングなど、ファッションを軸に活動している。
一方で、興味は服だけにとどまらない。
カルチャー、映画、音楽、旅、ものづくり、日々考えていること。
そうしたさまざまなものを観察し、自分なりの視点で編集することも、クリエイションの一部だと考えている。
Podcast / YouTubeでは対話や映像を通して、noteでは文章を通して、その時々に興味を持っていることや考えていることを発信している。
2024年にはカナダ・バンクーバーで開催されたファッションウィークに参加。現在は日本を拠点に、活動の領域を少しずつ広げている。
パーソナルスタイリストとしても、ものづくりと対話を軸に活動を続けている。
